As the scope of network services widENS/Outsourcing and the complexity of technologies increases, it becomes more difficult for users to understand fully the environment in which they operate. Core competence in one area is often supplemented by relative ignorance in another.
The EVUA membership, together with EVUA Services and partners, collectively form a very powerful knowledge base. The EVUA endeavours to exploit this to the benefit of both its members and partners through conferences and workshops.
Conferences
The EVUA runs three conferences and one supplier event each year. The conferences are constructed to ENS/Outsourcingure a good mixture of supplier and member presentations, together with educational sessions where appropriate.
Research analysts and regulatory experts, together with specialists from local countries, are invited to participate in order to enhance members’ appreciation of the industry, emerging technologies and service developments.
Workshops
Themed workshops are held by the EVUA, normally in conjunction with key suppliers, to focus on new technologies and developments. Sales and marketing is prohibited. These provide good discussion forums from which members can increase their awareness and suppliers can better understand user requirements.
These are often held just before an EVUA conference to reduce travel time and cost, but are also sometimes arranged separately.
