The EVUA runs three international conferences annually, in February, June and October. Each conference will normally be based on a technical or services theme (e.g. mobile, IP) and includes contributions from a mixture of users, suppliers and research groups. Members are encouraged to invite colleagues and managers also to attend, especially if the conference theme is relevant to them.
These conferences are intended to be highly interactive, focusing on key technical and commercial issues. They are particularly important networking events for both users and suppliers.
Summaries
It is appreciated that not all members can attend all conferences. The EVUA Secretary records key details of presentations and discussions at each conference, and posts a summary on the EVUA website soon after each event. Copies of presentations or links to appropriate web pages are also made available on the EVUA website.
Workshops
Themed workshops are held by the EVUA, normally in conjunction with key suppliers, to focus on new technologies and developments. Sales and marketing is prohibited. These provide good discussion forums from which members can increase their awareness and suppliers can better understand user requirements.
These are often held just before an EVUA conference to reduce travel time and cost, but are also sometimes arranged separately.
